Dr. Miriam Isaacs, lecture “Who Knows One? Songs of Holocaust Survivors from the Stonehill Collection.”

Dr. Miriam Isaacs, independent scholar, researcher and lecturer, on Yiddish language and culture, heritage languages, and translation; retired Affiliate Visiting Associate Professor of Yiddish Language and Culture, University of Maryland College Park, will speak on the Yiddish songs she worked on from the Benjamin Stonehill Oral History Collection when she was a Fellow at the United States Holocaust Holocaust Memorial Museum. Some of the songs will have Passover themes, and Passover desserts will be served following the lecture, since the lecture occurs during the week of Passover.
