Our four-week pre-college summer program lets you dive into college-level study by developing ideas that excite you—in the arts, business and technology.
You will finish the program with polished work in your portfolio, a great experience to include as part of your college application and college credit toward your undergraduate degree.
Wheaton Pre-College mirrors the college’s educational approach combining classroom, independent and group learning with hands-on projects, experiments and activities. You will use Wheaton’s considerable facilities and resources, from art studios to technology and fabrication labs, and collaborate with like-minded peers.
Program Overview
Wheaton Pre-College is a four-week, commuter program where high school students earn college credit through a selection of courses that mix lectures and discussions with hands-on learning. In addition to four days of classes, the program also includes co-curricular enrichment opportunities on Fridays.
Students: Rising high school juniors and seniors, or equivalent. To be eligible, students must turn 16 years of age by October 1, 2023, as well as attaining 11th or 12th grade status.
Dates: July 10 through August 4, 2023
Schedule: Classes are held Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 1 to 4 p.m.
Fridays: Open lab and studio time, as well as special program offerings
Closing Reception, Friday, August 4: Classes will host a closing reception where students showcase their work for friends and family.
Application Deadline: June 5, 2023. Apply Early, Limited Space in Each Class.
