Legal Studies
Offered by the Philosophy, and Political Science departments.

The legal system is complex. Laws might often be thought of as black and white, but what about those gray areas? Legal studies looks at our institutions from a human perspective. If you’re studying political science, public policy, journalism, or philosophy, a legal studies minor could enrich your educational experience at Wheaton. You’ll take classes like how judges reason and philosophy of law, and you’ll delve into the U.S. Constitution, civil liberties, and civil rights.
