Our Mission
The Lyons Athletic Club (LAC) promotes excellence in intercollegiate athletics at Wheaton College through the support and participation of alumni, parents and friends. In partnership with Wheaton’s Department of Athletics and the Office of College Advancement, the LAC raises funds to support athletics. All gifts to the LAC count toward Wheaton’s alumni participation.
How does the LAC work?
Supporters of the LAC have a variety of giving options. You may choose to direct your gift to the Lyons Athletic Club to the General Athletics Fund. The Director of Athletics will use these funds to enhance programs and facilities that might affect all student-athletes. You can also choose to direct your gift to any one (or more!) of Wheaton’s 21 teams, or you can choose to support a combination of both the General Athletics Fund and your favorite team.
Your gifts at work
Gifts to the Lyons Athletic club help Wheaton’s student-athletes in many ways. They enhance the budgets of the college’s 21 varsity intercollegiate teams, fund the purchase of extra equipment, underwrite travel, support facility improvements, and assure that all student-athletes have to tools to be competitive at the NEWMAC and national levels.
Why give to Wheaton student-athletes?
“Knowing that I’m able to give back to a program that has helped me so much just makes me happy.”
