Winter Orientation is a two-day comprehensive program for new first year and transfer students entering Wheaton in the Spring 2024 term. The program is designed to prepare you for your transition to Wheaton and introduce you to some of the people who will support you along the way.

Registration

All new students entering Wheaton in the Spring 2024 term are required to attend Winter Orientation. Kindly complete the registration form by January 12, 2024 to reserve your spot.

Campus Arrival

New Student Check-in 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
When you arrive on campus, park in Lot #4. Then, head directly to the Balfour-Hood Center. There will be a designated check-in table for first year and transfer students where our friendly staff will welcome you to campus.

Orientation Schedule

The 2-day Winter Orientation will kick off with dinner on Monday, January 22, 2024, with the Orientation Leaders. This program is for new students only. We ask that families kindly depart campus before the start of the program.

In addition to dinner on Monday, January 22, 2024, new students should plan to attend Orientation programming on Monday evening and on Tuesday, January 23, 2024.  To view the full list of events, check out our Winter Orientation schedule.

Continued Connections

We strive to keep the January Cohort of students connected as they navigate through their first semester on campus.  The Orientation Planning Group has established a schedule for intentional engagement opportunities for this smaller group to connect with each other, other students, faculty, and staff.  While most of these events are not mandatory, it is strongly encouraged as part of their Orientation to the Wheaton student experience.  The dates and program themes are listed below. The program details including locations will be communicated directly to the students.
