Early Childhood Education
Preschool through second grade teachers have an incredibly rewarding opportunity: to instill a love of learning and prepare children for a lifetime of discovery. As an early childhood education major, you’ll learn about child development and literacy, explore play and teaching strategies, and gain real-world experience observing, assisting, and teaching in diverse classrooms. With this degree and required certifications, you can provide care or teach in settings such as preschools, public and private elementary schools, community childcare programs, and social service organizations. Wheaton early childhood education students also choose a second major, broadening your career possibilities in education and beyond.
