Retirement Gala Concert Honoring Guy Urban

Professor of Music Guy Urban performs a gala recital celebrating his retirement after 36 years on the Wheaton faculty. The program will consist entirely of music by the great composer Franz Schubert, and will include ensemble performances with Music Department colleagues including Ann Sears, Lisa Romanul, Sheila Falls, Zarina Irkaeva and Joseph Bentley. The concert will culminate in a performance of Schubert’s song “The Trout” by Wheaton vocalist Shiqiu Yang ’18, and a grand finale of his famous “Trout” Quintet.

Ten-Minute Play Festival

This biannual festival features ten-minute plays written in 48 hours based on a prompt devised by Playwright-in-Residence Charlotte Meehan. The festival is a collaboration between the Creative Writing Program and the Department of Theatre and Dance Studies.
