Movie: The Queen of Katwe

This critically acclaimed 2016 film tells the story of how learning the game of chess transforms a Ugandan girl’s life. The film is based on the true story of Phiona Mutesi, who learned chess through the organization founded by Robert Katende. (He will receive the 2017 Otis Social Justice Award on Monday, Nov. 6.)
