You are multidimensional. Your health care should be too. That’s why our student health and counseling services prioritize whole self-care. We take a holistic approach that integrates prevention, medical care, counseling support, wellness programs and health education. Our goal is to help you create healthy habits during college and learn how to sustain them for life. Here’s how we can help:
Counseling
Our licensed professionals at the Counseling Center offer free counseling and support for stress, anxiety, depression and personal challenges. You can also participate in campus programs that support your mental and emotional health, including visits with our Certified Therapy Dog. Our goal is to create a safe and supportive space where you can build resilience, cope with challenges, and live your best life.
Health Services
You’ll receive convenient, on-campus medical care through our Student Health Services office. Our full-time registered nurse offers supportive, affirming and inclusive care, promotes self-advocacy, and empowers you to make informed decisions about your health. You’ll also have seamless access to a broad range of medical services through our partnership with Sturdy Health Primary Care–Norton, also located on campus.
Wellness
We collaborate with campus partners to offer programming and resources that support your overall well-being. Guided by the Eight Dimensions of Wellness, we aim to help you enhance your physical, emotional, intellectual, social, intellectual, occupational, environmental, spiritual, and financial health. This integrated approach equips you with the tools to nurture and balance every aspect of your well-being.
American College Health Association
The Associate Dean of Health and Wellness, Kate Puopolo, and Associate Director of College Health Administration, Abby Egginton, are members of the American College Health Association (ACHA). This national organization provides guidance on the standards of care for college health and how best to provide comprehensive, high-quality medical care, mental health support, wellness programming and health education. Our commitment to ACHA educational opportunities reflects our dedication to fostering a healthy, supportive campus environment to help you succeed both academically and personally.
