Meeting the challenge
Wheaton is delighted to announce that in 2007, through the generosity of our supporters, we met the challenge from the Evelyn & Walter Haas, Jr. Fund to raise $3 million for the visiting artists program in order to receive a $1 million grant pledged by the Fund in support of the program.

This milestone ensured that the Evelyn Danzig Haas ’39 Visiting Artists Program would remain viable in the future. The program’s endowment will enable Wheaton to bring distinguished musicians, painters, photographers, actors, dancers and writers to campus for many years to come.
