French Studies
Offered by the French Studies department.

France is known for its strong literary, artistic, and philosophical influences—and its food and fashion. Studying French—the language, the culture, the history—is not only intellectually fulfilling, but it also builds cultural competence. Wheaton’s French Studies majors learn and write about cultural artifacts: film, literature, photography. Beyond developing heightened global awareness, learning to read, research, or write in a second language brings tremendous value to graduate school and careers in business, education, law, medicine, communications, and other fields.
