Auditions for the fall mainstage production of ROE, written by Lisa Loomer and directed by Professor Stephanie Burlington Daniels, will take place on Thursday, September 1. Current students can sign up for an audition slot on the Theatre and Dance call board, located in the hallway outside of Watson office 126. A PDF of the script is available, please contact Professor Daniels for access. A cast list will be posted on call board by 7pm Friday night (September 2).

Rehearsal schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night 7-10pm, and Friday afternoon from 2-4pm. Rehearsals begin on Tuesday night Sept. 6. The show opens on November 3 and runs until the 12th.

Interested in dance? Consider auditioning for the Wheaton College Dance Company. Auditions will begin with a modern stretch and warm up, then a short combination will be taught and performed in small groups. Participants should arrive 10-15 minutes early to fill out a quick form. The Department of Theatre and Dance Studies is happy to announce early auditions for the spring MainStage production, Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar, directed by Trinity Rep company member and Wheaton College teaching adjunct Joe Wilson Jr.

Come One, Come All: Blind casting (short for color-blind/gender-blind casting) is the practice of casting without considering the actor’s ethnicity, skin color, body shape, sex and/or gender, or physical abilities.

Please read the play (https://www.sparknotes.com/nofear/shakespeare/juliuscaesar/) and prepare to read from the text, or perform a one-minute monologue from the play. Sing up for an audition slot on the Theatre call board in Watson by the rehearsal room (Watson 127).

Auditions for this fall’s main stage production Stupid F**king Bird by American playwright Aaron Posner are open to all Wheaton students. If interested, please select a time slot on the sign-up sheet on the department callboard outside Watson 127.  Plan to arrive at least five minutes ahead of your audition time in order to complete the necessary paperwork. Any student participating will be eligible to receive .5 course credits.

The Department of Theatre and Dance, along with the Music Department, invites all singers, actors, dancers, and storytellers to audition for its mainstage performance of Once on This Island. The auditions are open to the entire Wheaton community including students, staff, and faculty. Any student participating will receive .5 course credits. There will be two audition sessions, and you must attend both.

Auditions for this fall’s main stage production Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare are open to all Wheaton students. If interested, please select a time slot on the sign-up sheet  on the department callboard outside Watson 127.  Plan to arrive at least five minutes ahead of your audition time in order to complete necessary paperwork.
There will be at least 15 roles available to actors in this production, and gender-bending will be employed in casting as much as possible. Auditionees will be asked to read from the script. It is highly recommended that you acquaint yourselves with the play beforehand.  Please arrive prepared.
