Students gain experience at nonprofits, businesses, labs

Wheaton College is dedicated to providing students with transformative learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom and into the professional world. Funded winternships support this commitment, offering students the opportunity to gain real-world experience, explore career interests and build valuable skills during winter break from December through January. Several students continue their work well into the spring semester. During the 2023–24 session, 17 students interned at nonprofits, businesses and research labs, including at the Massachusetts Historical Society, MaineGeneral Physical Therapy and Merrill Lynch. Here are a few of the students who participated in the program.
