A spectacular spring day

Glorious sun, enthusiasm for Wheaton, boatloads of fun—and cake. What more could you ask for on a spring day? All of these and more were present on campus on Friday, April 14. Admitted students and families came to campus to enjoy Welcome to Wheaton Day and current students kicked off Spring Weekend with lots of activities, including the annual Head of the Peacock Regatta. Cake was served as part of the Tradition and Transformation events celebrating Wheaton’s next chapter, and a dedication ceremony was held for the Fran Shirley Commons in Balfour-Hood Center commemorating the teaching and philanthropic legacy of Professor Emerita of Fran Shirley.
