Alyson J. McGregor, MD, MA, FACEP, is a graduate of Boston University School of Medicine and Brown University Emergency Medicine Residency. Dr. McGregor is the Director for the Divison of Sex and Gender in Emergency Medicine (SGEM), formerly Women’s Health in Emergency Care, at Alpert Medical School Department of Emergency Medicine and Co-Director for SGEM Fellowship. Dr. McGregor is an attending physician at Rhode Island Hospital. Dr.McGregor plans to discuss the role of sex and gender in medical care. Specifically, she will share her experience with the lack of inclusion of women in clinical studies and what that has done to our understanding of health and disease.
