President Hanno has been leading teams of students to Rwanda each summer since 2011 to offer a seminar to top high school students in that country that helps them to develop ideas to solve problems in their communities. He is looking for a team of motivated students to join him for this experience, called the Wheaton Innovation and Leadership Laboratory (WILL). Don’t worry about your background – training is provided so that you will quickly become a full partner in this project. The trip runs from Thursday, August 2, to Sunday, August 12. The full cost of the experience is only $1,000 for Wheaton students, supported by a generous grant from the Diana Davis Spencer Foundation.

President Hanno will be hosting an information session for interested students on Tuesday, May 1, at 8:30 PM in the Faculty Dining Room of Emerson. Ice cream sundaes will be served! If you can’t make the meeting but are interested in finding out more, please email President Hanno ([email protected]) and he will send you an information sheet. The deadline for applying to the program is Monday, May 7, and even graduating seniors are invited to participate.  We hope to see you at the information session on May 1st!
