In the show, the artists Enfanga Sphynx, Pouchet Pouchet, and Cicada L’Amour (Guadalupe Angeles, McKay Bram, and Max Brumberg-Kraus) address the themes of empire and exploitation by state power on the body, e.g., “conversion therapy,” torture, and border control.

House of Larva was founded in 2014 at Beloit College, WI by drag ogress–Cicada L’Amour– and her parasitic lover–Enfanga Sphynx. The Co-Operative grew to include numerous queer artists and provided platforms for drag, dance and performance art at Beloit College from 2014-16, and currently in the Twin Cities of Minnesota.
