New and Transfer Student Orientation

Monday, January 19, 2026 and Tuesday, January 20, 2026
Winter Orientation is a two-day comprehensive program for new first year and transfer students entering Wheaton in the Spring 2026 term. The program is designed to prepare you for the transition to Wheaton and introduce you to some of the people who will support you along the way.

Campus Arrival

Residential Student Check-in:
Monday, January 19, 2026 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Commuter and Off-Campus Student Check-in:
Monday, January 19, 2026 4:30 – 5:30 p.m.

(more information to be sent ahead of check-in day)

When you arrive on campus, park in Lot #4. Then, head directly to the Balfour-Hood Center. There will be a designated check-in table for first year and transfer students where our friendly staff will welcome you to campus.

Orientation Schedule

The 2-day Winter Orientation will kick off with meeting the Orientation Leaders and then going to dinner on Monday, January 19, 2026. This program is for new students only. We ask that families kindly depart campus before the start of the program.  In addition to dinner on Monday, January 19, 2026, new and transfer students should plan to attend Orientation programming on Monday evening and all-day on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.
