Nursing Scholarships reflect our deep commitment to making a transformative nursing education both affordable and achievable. Through the generosity of alumni and local partnerships, we support students as they grow into skilled clinicians and compassionate leaders in healthcare.

Gogel Scholarship

The Georgia Wall Gogel ’71 and Don Gogel Scholarship is a fully-funded scholarship that will be awarded to one new nursing student who enrolls in Fall 2026. The scholarship covers the full cost of attendance (tuition, fees, room and board, plus other expenses such as books) for four years. It will automatically renew each year as long as the student maintains in good academic standing with the college.

To be considered for the scholarship, students must first apply to the Wheaton College Nursing program. Applicants will then be emailed a web-based application for the Gogel Scholarship. Scholarship applications must be received no later than April 1, 2026. Academic achievement, financial need, and other criteria will be considered in the scholarship application review process. The award recipient will be notified on or around April 7, 2026.

Sturdy Health Foundation Scholarship

Current students who have completed their first year in the Nursing program are eligible to apply for the Sturdy Health Foundation Scholarship. This scholarship will be awarded to two sophomore nursing students with demonstrated financial need, high academic achievement, and dedication to preparation for the nursing profession.

Each student will receive a $5,000 scholarship their sophomore, junior and senior year as long as they remain in good academic standing and accept a clinical placement with Sturdy Health. All current, first-year nursing students are eligible to apply. Recipients will be awarded during the White Coat ceremony.
