Careers in the financial industry are in high demand. Wheaton’s Bachelor of Science in Finance gives you a competitive edge. Our Finance Major includes business, economics, math and computer science courses enriched by the broad lens of the liberal arts and sciences. You’ll build strong analytical and technical skills while developing critical thinking, ethical decision-making, and communication abilities. Additionally, you’ll develop a global awareness, preparing you to work effectively with diverse clients and colleagues.

The Finance Major includes ten core courses and three electives so you can align your studies with your career goals. Unlike traditional business school programs, we encourage you to take additional courses in computer science and mathematics to strengthen your quantitative skills. You’ll learn practical skills like managing investment portfolios and analyzing data, plus gain real-world experience through an internship. The Finance Major prepares you for careers in corporate finance, investment banking, international finance, financial planning, or wealth management, and provides a solid foundation for further graduate studies.

The Finance Minor provides a unique opportunity to dive deep into another major while acquiring essential financial knowledge and skills that span all industries. Understanding financial principles will enhance your ability to manage budgets, analyze data and make informed decisions. Financial skills are also essential in your personal life, helping you manage your own finances, investments, and savings more effectively.
