Pre-College Program
Students who are enrolling in Wheaton’s Pre-College Program can request accommodations through the Accessibility Services Office. Please keep in mind that accommodations may look different than what a student has on a 504 or IEP in their high school. We review each request to make a determination on the reasonable and appropriate accommodations.
The deadline for all accommodations is June 20th.
To register for accommodations please reach out to Elizabeth Schuster ([email protected]) to submit documentation and set up an intake meeting. Documentation must be submitted before
the intake meeting.
Documentation guidelines for medical, physical, or mental health diagnosis:
- A diagnosis including relevant code.
- Student’s history with the diagnosis
- Description of the student’s functional limitations relevant to an academic setting
- Current treatment plan and medications
- Recommendation for accommodations
- Justification for why the recommended accommodation is medically necessary. There must be a clear connection between the functional limitations described and the recommended accommodations.
For specific learning disabilities or ADHD a student can submit a current 504 plan or IEP from the high school they are attending.
