Pre-College Program
Students who are enrolling in Wheaton’s Pre-College Program can request accommodations
through the Accessibility Services Office. Please keep in mind that accommodations may look
different than what a student has on a 504 or IEP in their high school. We review each request to
make a determination on the reasonable and appropriate accommodations.
The deadline for all accommodations is June 20th.
To register for accommodations please reach out to Elizabeth Schuster ([email protected]) to submit documentation and set up an intake meeting. Documentation must be submitted before
the intake meeting.
Documentation guidelines for medical, physical, or mental health diagnosis:
1) A diagnosis including relevant code.
2) Student’s history with the diagnosis
3) Description of the student’s functional limitations relevant to an academic setting 4) Current
treatment plan and medications
5) Recommendation for accommodations
6) Justification for why the recommended accommodation is medically necessary. There must be
a clear connection between the functional limitations described and the recommended
accommodations.
For specific learning disabilities or ADHD a student can submit a current 504 plan or IEP from
the high school they are attending.
