Wheaton College invites lenders to provide information about their products through a Request for Information (RFI) process. The Office of Student Financial Services reviews the information submitted to identify loan products that offer our families competitive rates, customer service, and borrower benefits. Our Lender List is reviewed each year and updated as necessary.

Here are some things you might want to consider when choosing a loan:

Who is the primary borrower of the loan?  Will I need a cosigner?

How is the interest rate determined?  Is it based on the prime rate, Libor, or something else?

What are the fees?

Does the lender offer any repayment benefits?  How long is the repayment period?

Is the loan deferred while I am in school?

You may also want to compare interest rates, borrowing limits, and credit requirements.
