Award-winning choral director Dr. André de Quadros leads a variety of Wheaton creators such as Chorale Singers, Chamber Singers, and World Music Ensemble in exploring themes of social justice through song and spoken word.

The ensemble, performing under Associate Professor Delvyn Case, present a concert highlighting the diversity of orchestral music and orchestral composers. Featuring Beethoven’s “Coriolan” Overture, Haydn’s Symphony no. 33, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s Noveletten, Jose Eizondo’s Danzas Latinoamericanos, and Charlotte Blake’s That Poker Rag

The band, under the direction of Assistant Professor Jeffrey Cashen perform a wide ranging selection of jazz arranged for the band by Cashen. Special guest PHAT Police will also perform.

The Wheaton Chorale and Chamber Singers, under the direction of Professor Tim Harbold, present a varied spring concert, featuring Haydn’s “Insanae et Vanae Curae,” contemporary favorites from Whitacre, Lauridsen and Runestad, and a range of jazz and popular selections. We are eager to share our music with you!

Wheaton’s World Music Ensemble, under the direction of Associate Professor of Music Sheila Falls Keohane, performs music and song from Brazil, Ukraine, Cuba and more.

Hailed as “one of America’s most daring and ferocious new-music ensembles” (The Chicago Reader), the Mivos Quartet visits Wheaton to perform a concert of contemporary music, including world premieres by Wheaton student composers.

Students enrolled in MUSC311: Western Music II are joined by Professor of Music Ann Sears for a performance of selected works from their coursework this semester.
