Assistant Professor of Visual Art Leah Dyjak, who joined the Wheaton Faculty in 2019, will give a presentation on their creative work and research. Dyjak has a background in photography and uses lens-based media to explore how generations of human use affect the ecology of place. Most recently their work has taken them to New Orleans Louisiana and the surrounding regions to investigate metaphors inspired by infrastructure failure and flood prevention projects that have accelerated environmental collapse.
