Offices and Services

Student Activities, Involvement & Leadership Office

  • The SAIL office is the hub of all student events and activities. Visit SAIL for student club advising or to plan an event. The SAIL office also offers leadership development programs throughout the academic year.
  • Located on the third floor of Balfour above the Café.
  • Elevator: 3rd Level

Office of Residential Life

  • Most of Wheaton’s students live on campus. Visit The Residential Life Office for all your housing needs and consider becoming a Resident Advisor.
  • Located on the third floor of Balfour above the Café.
  • Elevator: 3rd Level

Pappas Fitness Center

  • Exercise your body with free weights, nautilus stations and aerobic workout equipment which are all available for students, faculty, and staff. Locker rooms are adjacent to the Fitness Center.
  • Elevator: 1 Upper Level

Campus Mail Services

  • Campus Mail Services is responsible for sorting and distributing campus mail.
  • Located directly off the Atrium.
  • Elevator: 1 Lower Level

Campus Bookstore

  • The Wheaton Campus Bookstore offers textbooks and general merchandise, including clothing, gift items, snacks, technology, school supplies, and health and beauty aids.
  • Open weekdays 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; Saturday 10 a.m.–2 p.m.
  • Elevator: 1 Lower Level

Meeting Rooms

Media Center

    • The Media Center supports campus events with projection systems, loudspeakers, and videotaping. The office also provides audio/video and computer systems in classrooms.
    • Located on the balcony level of the second floor (Elevator: 2 Lower Level).

Club Hub Sponsored by Student Government Association

  • This is an open space for students to gather, meet, study, utilize the various resources and supplies.
  • Offices for the Student Government Executive Board, Class Officers, Wheaton Events Board (WEB), and Wheaton Wire (newspaper) share this space.
  • Elevator: 2 Lower Level

WCCS Radio Station

  • The student-coordinated radio station, WCCS, manages a broadcast and recording studio.
  • Located on the first level near the Dance Studio.
  • Elevator: 1 Upper Level

Ellison Dance Studio

  • This large rehearsal space is for the Dance Company and various other classes and activities. Student dance groups also use this space for practice sessions.
  • Located at the end of the first-floor hallway.
  • Elevator: 1 Lower Level

Food and Entertainment

Lyons Den

  • The Lyons Den is the night spot for live entertainment and social events.
  • Elevator: 1 Upper Level

Atrium

  • This large space has tables and chairs to study during the day and is constantly transformed to house dances, cultural events, fairs, and more!
  • The Atrium is the open area on the first floor of the Balfour-Hood Campus Center.
  • Elevator: 1 Lower Level

Hood Café

  • With fair trade coffee, sandwiches, soups, salads, muffins and other fresh baked pastries, Hood Café is a favorite spot for students and faculty to mingle. The Café also offers a computer station connected to the campus network and a great student study space.
  • The Hood Café is located on the mezzanine level of the Balfour-Hood Campus Center, off the Dimple-side entrance.
