American Philosophical Society Fellowships and Research Grants
Deadline: Varies, see website

The American Philosophical Society began assisting research by individual scholars in 1933. Today, the Society supports several major grant or fellowship programs to continue in the promotion of useful knowledge. Grants are for research only. The Society makes no grants for study, travel to conferences, workshops or to consult with other scholars, for permanent equipment, or assistance with publication or translation. The purpose of all programs is to put scholars in contact with the objects of their research.
