Critical Language Scholarship

  • U.S. citizen
  • Provides a fully-funded scholarship to attend an intensive summer abroad institute to learn one of thirteen essential foreign languages

Freeman-ASIA Scholarship

  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Supports study abroad in East or Southeast Asia for students who demonstrate financial need

Fulbright UK Summer Institutes

  • U.S. citizen, 3.7+ GPA, little to no travel experience outside North America
  • 3-5 week academic and cultural summer program at a higher education institution in the U.K.

Gilman International Scholarship

  • U.S. citizen, Federal Pell Grant recipient
  • Grants for study or internships abroad during the academic year or summer

Goldwater Scholarship

  • U.S. citizen, sophomores and juniors only
  • Scholarship for outstanding research students in science, math and engineering

NOAA Hollings Undergraduate Scholarship

  • U.S. citizen, 3.0+ GPA, sophomores only
  • $9,500 scholarship and summer internship opportunities at NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) facilities across the U.S. for students majoring in disciplines such as environmental science, biological science, mathematics, computer and information science, engineering, physics, geography and teacher education.

Obama Voyager

  • U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or DACA, juniors only
  • $10,000 and free Airbnb housing to pursue summer work-travel experience between junior and senior year for students with demonstrable commitment to public service

Projects for Peace

  • U.S. and international students
  • $10,000 to administer a project that promotes peace anywhere in the world

Udall Scholarship

  • U.S. citizen, national or permanent resident, sophomores and juniors only
  • $7,000 scholarship for students committed to environmental and Native American issues

Beinecke Scholarship

  • U.S. citizen, juniors only
  • $35,000 for graduate school awarded to exceptional students in arts, humanities and social science, who have demonstrable financial need

Critical Language Scholarship

  • U.S. citizen
  • Fully-funded summer language institutes overseas in a foreign language deemed critical to U.S. international interests

AAUW Selected Professions Fellowship

  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident (women only)
  • Funding for full-time graduate work in the fields of architecture, computer science, engineering, mathematics, law, business and medicine.

Coro Fellowship

  • U.S. citizen and international students
  • Experiential leadership training program in public affairs

English Program in Korea (EPIK)

  • Citizen from a country whose national language is English
  • Assist Korean teachers in their English classes in schools across Korea

Erasmus Mundus Joint Master’s Degree

  • Open to all with an undergraduate degree
  • International study program for students who want to pursue a Master’s degree

French Teaching Assistants (TAPIF)

  • U.S. citizens
  • English teaching assistantships in France

Fulbright U.S. Student Program

  • U.S. citizen
  • English teaching, research and travel grants in countries all over the world

Gaither Junior Fellows Program

  • U.S. citizen and international students, graduating seniors only
  • Fellows work as research assistants to professionals working on international affairs in Washington, D.C.

Gates Cambridge Scholarship

  • U.S. citizen and international students
  • Support to pursue graduate degrees at Cambridge University (U.K.)
  • Must be admitted to Cambridge independent of scholarship application

Japan Exchange and Teaching Program (JET)

  • U.S. citizens
  • Assist teachers of English in public and private elementary, junior and senior high schools across Japan

Scoville Peace Fellowship

  • U.S. citizens and international students
  • Program to gain Washington, D.C. perspective on peace and security issues
  • 6-9 months as a full-time, paid assistant at a participating organization

Spain Teaching Assistants (NALCAP)
