As Dean of Advising, I lead our efforts to support students in navigating their academic journey from orientation through graduation. This work includes close collaboration with faculty and staff to ensure students receive the guidance, resources, and encouragement they need to thrive.

Advising is a form of teaching, one that helps students learn how to reflect, make decisions, solve problems, and take ownership of their education. I’m deeply committed to helping students make thoughtful, informed decisions that support their academic and personal development.

As the Administrative Operations Manager, I help to make sure the Filene Center runs smoothly each day. In addition to managing office operations, I support students with scheduling, questions, and access to resources, all with the goal of fostering a welcoming and supportive environment.

I also supervise our team of Front Desk student employees and work closely with them to create a friendly, helpful first stop for anyone seeking guidance. Often the first point of contact for students visiting our office, I strive to make sure every visitor feels informed, valued, and supported.

Schedule a meeting with a Student Success Advisor (SSA)

Student Success Advisors (SSAs) at the Filene Center for Academic Success support students from the moment they arrive on campus through graduation. Advisors are available to help you navigate academic policies and processes, plan your courses, explore majors, manage academic challenges, and strengthen skills like time management, organization, and strategic learning.

If you’re a new student with questions before or after June Orientation, we invite you to meet with an advisor. Our team is here throughout the year to answer your questions, provide guidance, and help you feel confident as you begin your academic journey.

My goal is to create a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative advising space where students feel empowered to ask questions, explore possibilities, and shape an academic path that reflects their goals and values.

In my role coordinating advising for honors and scholars development, I support students as they navigate unique opportunities for academic challenge, leadership, and community.

I work with students across all majors and minors, with a special focus on those navigating a Leave of Absence or preparing for and returning from Study Abroad. Supporting students through these transitions includes planning for time away, staying connected to the college community, and facilitating a smooth return to academic life.

In my role as Assistant Director for Strategic Interventions, I collaborate with campus partners to identify and support students facing academic challenges by developing personalized strategies and programming that promote success and persistence.
