Accessibility Services will work with students experiencing a temporary medical condition (such as broken limbs, concussion symptoms, or short-term healing associated with surgery) which limits the student’s ability to function in the classroom and/or physical environment.

Students who need to request temporary accommodations will need to reach out to Elizabeth Schuster at [email protected] to set up an intake meeting. We will make every attempt to coordinate the temporary accommodations in a timely manner. Please email your documentation before your meeting.

Guidelines for what we need in documentation for a temporary condition are as follows:

    • A clear statement of the diagnosis or condition
    • Presenting symptoms or impacts resulting from the temporary condition
    • A prognosis of length of time accommodations may be needed
    • Signature and contact information made by a qualified professional practicing in the area that is needed to make a diagnosis. This cannot be a family member of the student.
