The 60 member GWSO performs a concert of inspiring and heart-warming music by a diverse collection of composers. Featuring Mozart’s overture to “The Magic Flute”, Bizet’s suite from the opera “Carmen”, “Adoration” by Black American composer Florence Price, Afro-British composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s “Idyll”, and Darius Mihlaud’s jazz-inspired ballet score “La création du monde” from 1923. Thomas Conrad ’22 performs C.P.E. Bach’s Flute Concerto in D Minor, and Bethany Tetreault ’23 sings J.S. Bach’s “Sheep May Safely Graze.”
