The 60 member GWSO performs a concert of inspiring and heart-warming music by a diverse collection of composers. Featuring Mozart’s overture to “The Magic Flute”, Bizet’s suite from the opera “Carmen”, “Adoration” by Black American composer Florence Price, Afro-British composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s “Idyll”, and Darius Mihlaud’s jazz-inspired ballet score “La création du monde” from 1923.  Suggested donation $5. 

The ensemble, performing under Associate Professor Delvyn Case, present a concert highlighting the diversity of orchestral music and orchestral composers. Featuring Beethoven’s “Coriolan” Overture, Haydn’s Symphony no. 33, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor’s Noveletten, Jose Eizondo’s Danzas Latinoamericanos, and Charlotte Blake’s That Poker Rag

The ensemble performs under the direction of Associate Professor of Music Delvyn Case, featuring works by Astor Piazzolla, Edward Elgar, and J.S. Bach, and Mozart’s Symphony no. 27.  Thomas Conrad ’22 performs C.P.E. Bach’s Flute Concerto in D Minor, and Bethany Tetreault ’23 sings J.S. Bach’s “Sheep May Safely Graze.”
