The Gertrude Adams Career Design Studio is a busy place in the Filene Center for Academic Advising and Career Services. Named in honor of the mother of Adrienne Bevis Mars ’58, students come here to get advice and tap into resources. Ready to help them is a team of career peer advisors led by Audrey Spina ’17, career advisor in the Filene Center. Student advisors, who specialize in areas of focus that connect to their own career interests, assist classmates with cover letters, resumes and strategies for securing jobs, internships and other career-related experiences. During the fall semester, Spina conducted a training session for the group. Peer advisors also receive professional development and additional training once a week throughout the academic year on topics such as the world of work and communication, the basics of financial health, networking and digital career resources.
