MAP Day!
October 14, 2021 @ 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Join us for MAP Day, October 14, 2021! Classes are canceled between 9 a.m–2 p.m. to allow time to step back and reflect on your Wheaton journey.
MAP Day provides time for students to see all that Wheaton has to offer, from study abroad, career planning, honors & scholars programs, LEAPS, majors, financial planning, and much more. First and second year students will meet with MAP Advisors and peers in morning cohort meetings to reflect and plan.
Attend an author reading and Q&A with Deesha Philyaw, author of The Secret Lives of Church Ladies. This collection of short stories won the 2021 PEN/Faulkner Award for Fiction, the 2020/2021 Story Prize and the 2020 Los Angeles Times Book Prize: The Art Seidenbaum Award for First Fiction and was a finalist for the 2020 National Book Award for Fiction. A Q&A session will follow.
Wheaton’s Diversity, Equity and Access Leadership will host a discussion entitled Progress Towards Equity: A Community Discussion, to bring the Wheaton community together for this important discussion.
Don’t miss cider & donuts on the Dimple and in the Pine Courtyard from 10-11 a.m.
Learn about all of the many opportunities available to you as you plan your Wheaton career and your life after Wheaton! All events, including descriptions, preregistration information, and meeting links are available on Inside Wheaton -> Academics -> MAP Day.
