Nursing Application Deadlines
- Early Decision 1: November 15
(Receive your decision by December 15. ED1 students must enroll at Wheaton if admitted.) - Early Action 1: November 15
(Receive your decision by January 15 and have until May 1 to enroll) - Early Decision 2: January 15
(Receive your decision by February 1. ED2 students must enroll at Wheaton if admitted.)
- Early Action 2: January 15
(Receive your decision by February 15 and have until May 1 to enroll) - Regular Decision (fall entry): February 15
(Receive your decision by March 31 and have until May 1 to enroll) - Regular Decision (spring entry): November 15
(Admission decisions received on a rolling basis)
Admission Standards
Per Massachusetts Board of Nursing Registration regulations, all students must submit satisfactory proof of secondary education. In addition, the following are preferred minimum standards for admission to the Nursing Program:
- College preparatory curriculum with a preferred minimum GPA of 3.0
- 4 years of College Prep Math: Algebra I, Algebra II, Geometry, Advanced Math (e.g., Statistics, Pre-Calculus, Calculus) with grades of “B” or better
- 4 years of College Prep Science, including 2 years of lab science (Biology, Chemistry, Advanced Science [e.g., Physics, Anatomy]) with course grades of “B” or better
- Strong application essay and demonstrated interest
- Letters of recommendation from a teacher (math and science preferred) and school counselor
- Extracurricular activities or work experience
- SAT/ACT scores are optional

By selecting nursing as your academic interest, you’ll automatically be considered for direct entry to the program. If you do not qualify for nursing admission, you will be considered for general admission to Wheaton with the opportunity to re-apply at the end of your first semester.
