Mini reunions are a great way to stay connected with your classmates in between milestone reunions. These smaller, informal gatherings are typically organized by your class president or vice president and can happen anywhere and anytime. Whether your class wants to meet up for a casual dinner, attend a sporting event, or plan a weekend away, there are many ways to reconnect and show your Wheaton pride.
Getting Started
- Recruit a committee of classmates for ideas, planning and communication
- Pick a date, time and location for the event and calculate the cost
- Work out an itinerary for multiple day events
- Contact the Alumni Relations Office at [email protected] to share your ideas and see how we can help
- Share your plans and event details with the rest of your class
Mini Reunion Ideas
- Social hours, lunch or dinner at a classmate’s house or a restaurant
- Cultural events at a museum or attend a performance
- Outdoor fun such as sailing, skiing or touring a vineyard
- Already planned Wheaton regional events
- A weekend exploring a major city
- A cruise or flight to a tropical resort
Event Support
The Alumni Relations Office is happy to assist volunteers with some of the planning. Here’s how we can help:
- Provide a class list
- Send 1 save-the-date email to your classmates (12 weeks before the event)
- Send 1 email invitation (8 weeks before the event)
- Print and mail out 1 hard copy invitation (8 weeks before the event)
- Send 1 final confirmation email (1 week before the event)
- Mail out an Event in a Box
Please note: Wheaton is unable to promote mini reunions through our college-wide communications. Class volunteers will be responsible for event registration, maintaining an attendance list and collecting payment.
After the Event
After your mini reunion, please send an attendance list to [email protected]. Also, send us event photos to share on the website.
