Since our founding, Wheaton has been committed to opening doors: to higher education, to careers, and to skills that allow students to keep growing for the rest of their lives. To support this commitment, we have offered generous financial aid for years to attract the best students and make a Wheaton education accessible. In fact, nearly all Wheaton students receive some form of aid.
Beginning in Fall 2027, Wheaton will reduce our published tuition by $30,000 to more closely reflect what students actually pay. The tuition price for the 2027-2028 academic year would have been $69,000 and now will be $39,000.

Why is Wheaton Lowering Tuition?
Wheaton College is lowering its published tuition to make costs easier to understand from the start. Previously, the gap between our published tuition price and what students paid hid our affordability and may have deterred students who would have thrived here from considering us. Knowing what to expect before you apply gives you the confidence to explore all that Wheaton has to offer.
What this means for students:
New Tuition Pricing: $39,000
Our new tuition pricing reflects what you’ll pay before merit scholarships or other aid are applied. We will adjust the merit aid component of institutional grants so that the net cost to current students remains the same as it would have been without this new pricing. Need-based aid will not be affected. No student—prospective or returning—will pay more because of our new pricing.
Unlimited Opportunity
The caliber of a Wheaton education hasn’t changed. You will have full access to the mentors, programs and experiences that will shape your future.

Strong Foundation. Enduring Impact.
At Wheaton, we continually enrich the student experience. Our multi-year All Together Now fundraising campaign has raised $90 million to date. These funds fuel three strategic priorities: life and career design, scholarships and financial aid, and immediate annual impact. Our endowment continues to grow and is greater than $300 million. This ongoing support ensures every admitted student has access to a Wheaton education backed by a community invested in their lifelong success.
