Auditions for the fall mainstage production of ROE, written by Lisa Loomer and directed by Professor Stephanie Burlington Daniels, will take place on Thursday, September 1. Current students can sign up for an audition slot on the Theatre and Dance call board, located in the hallway outside of Watson office 126. A PDF of the script is available, please contact Professor Daniels for access. A cast list will be posted on call board by 7pm Friday night (September 2).

Rehearsal schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night 7-10pm, and Friday afternoon from 2-4pm. Rehearsals begin on Tuesday night Sept. 6. The show opens on November 3 and runs until the 12th.

Explore the process of building this initiative, which was conceived by the Department of Theatre and Dance in response to the challenges of our times. Ebony Williams ’08 believes the link, the thread, the piece of yarn, that connects her life work is her belief in process. While it’s common that human beings spend much of our time focused on the problem and the solution to obstacles that arise from living, the middle part, the journey we go through to reach our desired end point is where we learn the most. It is where we are presented with the most opportunities to grow and experience our humanity, but it is also where we spend the least amount of time reflecting. In this talk Williams’ discusses the focus of her work, creating opportunities for individuals to indulge in the luxury of their process in order to heal. Registration is required for this Zoom event.
