Dean Ramos provides leadership and supervision of the Marshall Center. She coordinates the services provided by the staff, developing appropriate resources and support for academic, cultural and social programs fostering awareness and appreciation of diversity at Wheaton. Raquel collaborates with the Provost and Student Affairs divisions on the development of college-wide diversity initiatives and inclusion of issues of diversity across the curriculum. She also keeps a working relationship with the Advising Center and works with faculty members on students’ academic planning and programming.

Angelica Mirandou

Angelica serves as the Assistant Director of Community Dialogue and First-Generation Student Success at Wheaton College. In this role, she supports programming, education, and services that empower all students, including first-generation students, while also fostering meaningful dialogue across the campus community, facilitating a peer mentor program, and assisting in the coordination of heritage month programming. Angelica brings a dynamic background in education to her work at Wheaton. Her experience includes serving as a Division I student-athlete success advisor, coordinating college events and conferences, and teaching K–12 science. As a dedicated scholar-practitioner, she is deeply committed to building inclusive communities, sharing resources, and collaborating with students, faculty, and staff. She welcomes opportunities for connection—whether you’re seeking support, exploring a new initiative, or simply looking to start a conversation. Jen is responsible for all the general duties at the Marshall Center. She provides budget management, support for the various programs including our Intercultural Early Arrival Program, assists with events, and provides general support for the staff and students at the Marshall Center. Jen is also responsible for the hiring, training and supervising of our student workers.

Mike Pratt currently serves as the Assistant Director of Social Justice and Community Impact, having formerly held the title of LGBTQ+ Engagement Coordinator since 2018. Mike works with student, staff, faculty and community members to expand queer-focused programming, education and general support on campus. Within the Assistant Director role, he hopes to widen the scope of these engagements and make Wheaton College a place where intentional and empowering dialogue around a variety of DEIB themes can be a permanent reality. Mike continues to oversee the creation, implementation and expansion of the Safe Zone training program, advises five student groups via Pride Circle, and sits as a co-convener of The Network for LGBTQ+ Inclusion, Support, and Advocacy. Outside of Wheaton, Mike is also a published writer and working actor. In his free time, you can probably find him listening to his record collection with his beloved cat, Kiki, going to botanical gardens, or trying to stay blonde.
