The Career Peer Advisors (CPAs) are a team of student employees, who are trained to provide 1:1 drop-in advising to their peers on the basics of career-related topics. CPAs “specialize” or focus in a career community–Arts/Arts Administration; Accounting, Banking, and Finance; Management, Operations, and Entrepreneurship; Government, Advocacy, Policy, and Law; Education and Human Services; Public Health, Health Administration, and Medicine; Biotech, Scientific Research, and Engineering–that aligns with their own career interests. In addition to 1:1 advising, they work to gather resources and interview professionals in their career communities to gain hands-on insight and knowledge in the field(s). Additionally, CPAs receive intensive weekly training and professional development throughout the semester to best serve students.

CPAs can advise students from any class year; however, they meet with first students prior to their first meeting with one of our full-time career advisors in order to help them make the most out of their appointment. They also respond to inquiries and review resumes using the [email protected] email address.

My name is Wil Brown. I am from Newton Mass., and I’m interested in marketing. I’m really excited to get involved as a CPA and hope to help others boost their confidence in their career search. I’m in the Filene Center on Mondays from 2 – 4 p.m., Tuesdays from 2 – 3 p.m., and Thursdays 5 – 6 p.m.

Hello, my name is Alexander Burrows, but feel free to just call me Alex. I am a neuroscience major on the pre-med track and a member of the international psychological honors association Psy Chi. Previously, I had interned for the Autoimmune Registry to learn more about how coding and statistics can apply to the medical field with the NIH’s All of Us Program. This year, I interned for the Connecticut Children’s Hospital to get a greater understanding for in-person patient interaction and practices. For my last year at Wheaton, I will be one of the Career Peer Advisors working at the Filene Center. Caden Charpentier ’24
Economics Major, Journalism and Business and Management Minors

My name is Caden Charpentier and I am a senior here at Wheaton. I am an Economics major with a double minor in Journalism and Business and Management. My passion is in sports media/writing, and my goal is to make a living in that field someday. I have experience working in Double-A baseball, and professional football (soccer) over in the United Kingdom. This fall I will be working for SLAM Magazine remotely from here on campus, helping to produce top-rated content across the basketball world. On campus, I work in the Admissions Office as one of the interns while acting as the sports editor for the school newspaper, the “Wheaton Wire”. I can’t wait to help you all in the Career Design Studio, attempting to move you in the right direction in your professional career.

Hi everybody! My name is Daphne Giampietro and I am majoring in Biology and minoring in Economics.  Here at Wheaton, I am a part of the May Fellows, TriBeta Honor Society, and treasurer of the Wheaton Ice Hockey team. Post-graduation I hope to go into conservation work but am unsure in what capacity as of yet. Over the summer I interned at a rehabilitation center where I worked with raptors and many other different types of birds. I loved participating in this internship and am excited to help students find internships or experiences they will also enjoy. Hello! My name is Brenna Glasheen and I am currently completing my third and final year at Wheaton. I am a Political Science major and Hispanic Studies minor on the pre-law track. On campus, I am the Creative Leisure Coordinator for WEB and a member of the MayFellows Executive Board. I spent the past semester interning at a family law firm in London as part of their domestic violence team. Most recently I was afforded the opportunity to shadow the City Solicitor of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania this summer. I look forward to becoming a Career Peer Advisor in hopes of guiding other pre-law students looking for assistance. Leah Keating
Business & Management Major, Creative Arts Minor

Hello, my name is Leah Keating. I am a Business & Management Major with a Minor in Creative Arts. This semester along with being a Career Peer Advisor, I am also a Tour Guide at Wheaton, working an off-campus job, and interning in Sales/Data Analysis. I would love to give students some insight on the different options they can explore to make the most of their time at Wheaton. My specific expertises are in graphic design, social media, education, and general business studies. Having taken part in the Semester in the City and Wheaton Edge, I can also help students take advantage of the programs Wheaton offers.

My name is Kris Nunez, I’m a senior at Wheaton studying Business (Marketing Concentration) and minoring in Hispanic Studies. I currently hold 5+ years of marketing experience and have worked 3 corporate internships since the start of my college career, with my last at Google as an Associate Product Marketing Manager for Google’s Devices and Services. I have experience in multiple industries and I hope to relay tons of my learnings to those at Wheaton. In my time at Wheaton, I’ve been the Marketing Director for the Wheaton Social Impact Conference and Smudge Lit Magazine, President of the TWAP House, Scholar of the Posse Foundation, Member of Paraiso, and Ex-Member of the Men’s Track Team. Hi everyone! My name is Renina, and I am a senior currently majoring in History and Secondary Education. I am super excited to join the CPA team under the Education and Human Services field. I am very passionate about education reform and social justice work in the social sector. I have worked with many organizations in my local community and have also interned with various schools in the Boston area. Being an education major, I am a huge believer in experiential learning. One can learn so much from actually being in the classroom and out in the community. I am also co-President of Renaissance House, SGA Executive Secretary, and the Procedural Advisor for BSA.
