Both lectures and active learning can be effective teaching practices, but how can we do them in ways that align with how people actually learn? In this presentation, Floyd Cheung shares a variety of teaching techniques as well as some of the research and theories that undergird them.

Dr. Floyd Cheung is the Vice President for Equity and Inclusion and Professor of English at Smith College.

He is the former Director of Smith College’s Sherrerd Center for Teaching and Learning.
