Sesquicentennial celebration
The college begins a year long Sesquicentennial celebration at Commencement. Jehan el-Sadat, author and widow of Anwar Sadat, gives the Commencement address and receives an honorary degree. The Sesquicentennial is celebrated with symposia, concerts, exhibitions, lectures, and other events.
