Mary Bailey Lincoln, class of 1864 and first principal of the Boston Cooking School, publishes The Boston Cooking School Cookbook.   The book is cited as “the best and most practical cookbook of its kind.”  Fannie Farmer is her assistant, and later succeeds her at the school.
