Beyond our walls

In 1984, then-President Emerson told Wheaton students, faculty and alumnae that social responsibility in the 21st century could not end at the borders of campus. And from the early days of study-abroad programs to the recent creation of the Center for Global Education, Wheaton has been increasingly conscious of its place in the world.
