Arielle Burstein ’10, left, of Beverly Hills, Calif., and Rachael Powell ’10, of Madbury, N.H., won a 100 Projects for Peace $10,000 award. The Davis Projects for Peace program is an initiative made possible by Kathryn Wasserman Davis (the mother of Wheaton trustee emerita Diana Davis Spencer ’60). The students plan to build greenhouses in the Andean regions of Peru to help address malnutrition. “I’ve always wanted to do something that is actually proactive rather than sitting back and just voicing my opinion that something needs to be done and never really accomplishing anything.” —Powell
