Talent was on parade this March as the Filene Center launched its first annual Wheaton College Internship Showcase to celebrate the broad array of experiences in which students participated last summer. In 2009 alone, students interned on six continents. Griffin Patria ’12, a Shouse Fellow, was one of them. Inspired by his First Year Seminar “Fit for a Queen,” taught by Assistant Professor of Theatre Design Clinton O’Dell, he researched powerful women and their fashion statements, made dresses based on what he learned, and presented the pieces in a fashion show. Take that, “Project Runway.” (Photos by Veronica Rogers ’10)
