Wheaton is fifth in Fulbrights
Nine Wheaton students won Fulbright awards for 2007-2008--tying the college for fifth among all U.S. bachelor's institutions, according to a recent report by the Fulbright Foundation. (Read more.)
Student essayist is hooked on history
William Allen '09, a political science major, has contributed an essay to a new book about Harriet Wilson, an indentured servant in Milford, N.H., during the mid-1800s. Wilson, who is believed to be the first African American woman novelist, holds a special fascination for Allen, who is also from Milford. (Read more.)
PCs for the Philippines
Four Wheaton students hope to establish a computer clinic for an underfunded rural school in the Philippines this January, and they're asking for help from the Wheaton community. (Read more.)
FACULTY FOCUS
An 'American' translation of a Latin classic
Professor of Classics Joel C. Relihan has produced a new translation of The Golden Ass, by Apuleius. Relihan's version of the second-century classic is not only learned, it's also lively, readable and fun. (Read story.)

Field hockey honors for Wheaton athletes
Three Wheaton field hockey players have earned all-region honors from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association, which has named the trio to the New England East Region first team. (Read more.)
