Asian Cultural Council

The Asian Cultural Council supports cultural exchange between Asia and the United States in the performing and visual arts, primarily by providing individual fellowship grants to artists, scholars, students, and specialists from Asia for study, research, travel, and creative work in the United States. In addition, the Council awards a small number of grants in support of regional exchange activities within Asia.

Grants are made in the following fields: archaeology, architecture (design, theory, and history), art history, art and architectural conservation, crafts, dance, film, museology, music, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, theater, and video.

The Asian Arts Council Humanities Fellowship Grants Residency Program

The Asian Cultural Council is a foundation supporting cultural exchange in the visual and performing arts between the United States and Asia. An emphasis is placed on awards to artists, scholars and specialists from Asia for research, study and creative work in the United States. Some grants are also made to Americans pursuing similar activities in Asia, and to educational and cultural institutions engaged in projects of special significance to Asian-American exchange. Grants are made in the following fields: archaeology, architecture (design, theory, and history), art history, art and architectural conservation, crafts, dance, film, museology, music, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, theater, and video.

Asian Development Bank (ADB) - Japan Scholarship Program
Deadline: 6 months prior to entended period of study

The scholarship is designed for citizens of ADB's developing member countries wanting to pursue postgraduate studies in economics, management, science and technology, and other development-related fields at participating academic institutions in the Asian and Pacific Region. The ADB-JSP provides full scholarships for one to two years.
The ADB-JSP provides full tuition fees, a monthly subsistence and housing allowance, an allowance for books and instructional materials, medical insurance, and travel expenses. The maximum duration of scholarship award is two years for masters and doctorate programs.
