Wheaton College unveils new Outdoor Ice Skating Rink!
DON'T FORGET YOUR ICE SKATES!
The Men's and Women's Club Ice Hockey teams have teamed up with the SAIL and Athletic department to offer the Wheaton Community a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the New England winter weather. Keep an eye out for special events and open skating opportunities over the next few weeks!
Check out some of the rules and restrictions for using the ice rink:
SKATE AT YOUR OWN RISK!
- Open to the Wheaton College Community and their guest(s) only. Guest(s) must be in the company of their Wheaton host at ALL TIMES.
- Hours of permitted use are from dawn to dusk, unless open for an event or game*.
- No skating allowed if the sign posted designates the rink is CLOSED.
- Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
- All patrons MUST wear skates, no footwear other than skates is allowed on the ice.
- We DO NOT RENT SKATES*. Please bring your own.
- Food, Drinks, Alcohol and Smoking are not allowed on or around the ice skating area.
- Helmets are required for all guest(s) under the age of 18. Gloves, knee and elbow pads are strongly recommended.
- Hockey play, sticks or pucks are NOT allowed on ice during recreational skating hours.
- Recreational skating is prohibited during hockey hours. Hockey players must wear helmets/face shields during all hockey sessions.
- No more than 2 skaters may join hands. Forming of lines, whips and slings is prohibited.
- No jumps or spins or practicing of figure skating routines allowed.
- The College reserves the right to revoke use of the rink for individuals who do not obey the rules, display unacceptable conduct, or for any just cause.

- *To reserve the Ice Rink for a campus event please complete the Event Form on the Conference and Events website. Make sure to watch the College calendar for special open skate hours and skate rental opportunities.
