Astronomy

The astronomy minor is quite literally a window to the universe. From the Wheaton Observatory, you’ll explore stars, supernovae and near-Earth asteroids. Through research, astronomical photography and observation, you’ll discover the origins of the universe. And through introductory physics, you’ll dig deeper into the principles, properties and structures of space. You’ll expand your horizons with electives such as ancient astronomies (which views the celestial skies through Mayan eyes) and astrobiology (is there life in outer space?).
