Religion

Exploring the many religions of the world—their texts and traditions—challenges our viewpoints, builds cultural awareness, and promotes empathy and understanding. In Wheaton’s religion program, you’ll compare and look critically at a range of belief systems and practices: Western Biblical traditions; Islam, East Asian, and native traditions; and contemporary movements like eco-feminism. Outside the classroom, our students observe “religion-in-action” through service learning, internships, study abroad, and other hands-on experiences. Open to students of all faiths or no faith, religion is an excellent major or minor for anyone who wants to broaden their worldview.
